BMC Bladeworks is proud to present the MY Parang Golok 135.

This Golok is a traditional utility blade widely used throughout Peninsular Malaysia. Commonly available in hardware stores and everyday retailers, it is a staple general-purpose tool in suburban and rural households.

Characterised by its strong pointed tip and pronounced belly, the Golok excels at splitting, clearance, digging, and a wide range of outdoor and garden tasks.

The pointed tip offers excellent control for precise work, while the curved belly provides effective slicing performance. Note that the pronounced belly can require care during sharpening on wider stones.

Care Instructions:

The Golok 135 is made from 5160 Carbon Steel. To keep the steel free from signs of oxidation or corrosion; please ensure it is cleaned, oiled and ensure it is put away dry. Using "wet wipes" or other chemical cleaning products may discolour the blade.

We suggest using the cleaning cloth provided to remove clearance debris and dirt, a generous squirt of 3-IN-ONE oil (manufactured by WD40) onto the blade and carefully wiped down after use will keep the steel in optimal condition.

High-kinetic use of any outdoor blade will result in the cutting edge dulling. 5160 is an easy to sharpen steel by simply using a whetstone. Learning how to do this effectively is an incredibly useful skill for the future maintenance of all your bladed articles.

Always store the blade in it's provided ballistic nylon sheath, away from children and in a safe, cool, dry place.
