BMC M28 'Solifuge' Fixed Blade Knife

The BMC M28 Solifuge designed to be an incredibly capable bushcraft knife. It's 6in D2 blade is 5mm thick with a very usable high sabre grind. 

It's built tough to be the one knife you want in an emergency. From cutting det-cord to skinning and prepping dinner; the Solifuge is the right tool for the job.

The belly is generous and hints at this blades outdoor capabilities. The spine has a unique, full length swedge serving to remove weight from the front end, but it's been kept wide enough to take serious batoning. 

The thumb rise offers solid jimping for a secure grip, with a second thumb rest above the 3D contoured G10 lined Micarta handle when held in a mid-grip position.

The butt has a solid angled breaker with lanyard hole. The handle has been carefully designed to offer an incredible reverse-grip / ice-pick grip. This knife quickly locks into your hand with absolute security.

The large sharpening choil acts as a forward index-finger choil. It is this wide arch shape which mimics the large fangs of a Solifuge, aka Camel Spider / Wind Scorpion. The handle shape too resembles the incredible desert creatures abdomen.

The D2 steel blade is available in either a Raw or Black PVD Stonewashed finish laser etched with custom artwork and serial number.

The Solifuge comes with a custom matching black Kydex sheath.

Care Instructions:

The M28 is made from D2 Tool Steel. To keep the steel free from signs of oxidation or corrosion; please ensure it is cleaned, oiled and put away dry. Using "wet wipes" or other chemical cleaning products may discolour the blade.

We suggest using the cleaning cloth provided to remove dirt, a squirt of 3-IN-ONE oil (manufactured by WD40) onto the blade and carefully wiped down after use will keep the steel in optimal condition.

We recommend using a whetstone to sharpen and a leather honing strop to hone the edge. Learning how to do this effectively is an incredibly useful skill for the future maintenance of all your bladed articles.

Always store the blade in it's provided kydex sheath, away from children and in a safe, cool, dry place.
